Job Purpose: To provide outstanding service by selling products, parts and accessories to customers and dealers.

Duties:

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet, and other sources to drive new customer sales.
  • Makes calls on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or to follow up with potential orders or concerns.
  • Demonstrates product knowledge by emphasizing products or features to meet customers’ specific needs.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Maintains account activities and customer/dealer database up to date.
  • Tracks stock levels based on sales made.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with current customers and dealers as well as potential customers/dealers.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with products and/or deliveries.
  • Attends trade shows as directed.
  • Marginal Duties:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year prior sales experience; preferably in automotive /off road industry or similar
  • QuickBooks Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
