In this guide, we’ll jump into the exciting world of keeping your off-road companion in top shape. It’s time to channel your inner mechanic and give your UTV the TLC it deserves!
fuel system care
Drain or Stabilize Fuel
Empty the tank if the UTV won’t be used for a long time. Alternatively, add a fuel stabilizer to keep the fuel fresh and prevent engine damage.
Run the Engine
After adding the stabilizer, run the engine for a few minutes to ensure the stabilizer spreads throughout the fuel system.
Tire Preservation
Regular Pressure Check
Consistently check and adjust tire pressure to prevent damage and extend their life.
Storage Tips
If possible, store your UTV with the tires off the ground using blocks or a lift. This helps avoid flat spots on the tires.
Thorough Cleaning and Protection
Deep Clean
Wash off all dirt, mud, and debris. Pay special attention to undercarriage and hidden spots where grime can accumulate.
Protective Waxing
Apply a quality wax to shield the paint from moisture and fading.
Interior Maintenance
Clean all surfaces inside. If your seats are fabric, consider a protective spray to guard against dampness and stains.
Rodent Control
Deterrent
Store your UTV away from areas prone to rodents. Use natural or commercial repellents to prevent them from chewing wires or building nests.
Smart Storage Solutions
Ideal Storage Locations
A garage or shed is best. Keep your UTV away from extreme temperatures and moisture.
UV-Resistant Covers
If outside storage is unavoidable, a breathable, UV-resistant cover is vital to protect against weather and sun damage.
Seat Protection with PRP Seat Covers
Protective Covers
Use PRP seat covers to safeguard against wear and tear. They’re made to fit snugly and protect against dust, water, and sun.
Easy Maintenance

The pinnacle of comfort for fighting against the elements – PRP’s Heated and Cooled Seat upgrade allows you to set your seating to maximum comfort during hot or cold rides!
The powerful thermal engines in these seat upgrades can deliver a seat surface temperature of 65 – 86 °F for cooling and 91 – 109 °F for warming!
The front goggle pocket is a great option to attach to the front of your seats for those immediate items you may need while riding. This upgrade is sewed onto the front of your seat either attached to the removable cushion or to the lower area of the seat.
This is perfect for stashing not only your goggles, but also your phone, water, chapstick, or any other item that you may need in a pinch.

heated seats
Heated seats are definitely the most popular upgrade option here at PRP Seats – and for good reason!
Who doesn’t want to stay warm on those cold rides? When you order your seats with us, we attach the heaters to the foam during the mounting process.
The heaters come with a six-foot wiring harness that can be implemented into any open button on the dash. The heaters operate on an “on/off” toggled setting with a max output of five amps to keep you nice and toasty on those chilly rides.
AIR LUMBAR SUPPORT
Hey, as the older we get let’s admit our back doesn’t feel as perfect as it used to.To help minimize any potential issues on our backs and to be more comfortable out on the trails, we’ll take any bit of support we can have!
Our inflatable, handheld air support is available for that extra back support you need. To get the perfect lumbar support, all it takes is just a few pumps of the air pump and you’re good to go!
new glory logo
The New Glory option is the perfect way to show your patriotism while adding some style to your custom PRP Seats. It’s shown here in red, white, and blue stitching to reflect the American flag!
Having this upgrade is a definite way to stand out and represent!
water pak
You can never have enough water, am I right? No judgement here! We know off-road enthusiasts will take their vehicle out whether it’s hot or cold outside, so it’s better that you always have some water available to you.
The Water Pak features a 70oz bladder (about five regular water bottles) along with a long drinking hose and fitting on the end for water consumption while riding. This seat option allows for the fun to never stop and is highly recommended for almost all riders.

In the thrilling world of off-road racing, where every bump and jump push the limits of control, racing harnesses step up as silent safety heroes. Beyond the excitement, these harnesses keep drivers tightly secured to their vehicles, shielding them from the intense forces of high-speed action.
Most racing groups require strict safety standards, often requiring SFI certification, highlighting how crucial these safety tools are. PRP Race Harnesses embody this safety commitment, blending style and innovation into every harness.
Let’s explore the amazing features of PRP’s race harness lineup that can transform your off-road racing experience.
5 Point Cam-Lock Harnesses for Racing
Get set for precision and safety like before with the PRP 5 Point Cam-Lock Harness. It’s not just a harness; it’s the key to keeping you locked in during the most thrilling parts of your race.
With a Cam-Lock style buckle, you can release quickly and smoothly, safely diving into the action whenever you want. And the real game-changer here is PRP’s Exclusive CleanLatch Technology. Say goodbye to dirt and mud messing up your Cam-Lock— these unique harnesses have rubberized seals to keep the mechanism clean and you ready to go.
These harnesses are designed specifically for racing and come standard with removable pads!

EZ PADS
EZ ADJUSTERS
The two options mentioned below are available for the 5-Point Cam-Lock Harnesses:
Pull Up EZ Adjusters on the Lap Belts
For the quickest adjustment, we’d recommend going with Pull-Up EZ Adjusters. A quick pull up, and you’re good to go—easy, just like it should be.
Cam-Lock Harness with Ratchet Lap Belt
Looking to be even more secure than EZ Adjusters? Then switch it up to running a ratchet lap belt. This comes with the ratchet tool to tighten your lap belt to squeeze your lap and legs together for maximum containment inside your race seat.
Make a statement with the PRP 5-Point Custom Harness, a mix of safety and style tailored just for you. With a design that’s all about you and the features you need, this harness isn’t just an extra; it’s a way to show off your personality.
The PRP 5.2 Custom Harness gives you a bunch of options to make it work for you:
Custom Harness with Removable Pads
If you’re looking for a race ready harness, you must select removable pads so that you can run a HANS Device.
Pull Up EZ Adjusters on the Lap Belts
Again, we’re going to recommend the super easy Pull-Up EZ Adjusters. Just a quick pull is all you need.
Custom Harness with Ratchet Lap Belt
Just as in the cam-lock harnesses, you can also opt for a little more security with a ratchet belt for your custom harness as well! The ratcheting mechanism allows you to fine-tune the tension on your lap belt with unparalleled precision. Achieve a customized fit that molds seamlessly to your body, providing maximum containment and ensuring you stay securely in place during every twist and turn.
Expect More From Your Harnesses
In the heart-pounding realm of off-road racing, where the terrain is relentless and control is paramount, PRP stands as a beacon of safety and innovation.
As we’ve journeyed through the incredible features of PRP’s race harness lineup, from the precision of the 5-Point Cam-Lock Harness to the personalized safety of the 5-Point Custom Harness, we hope that we’ve shown that our commitment goes beyond function – we offer a blend of style, innovation, and unwavering safety to our riders.
Strap in and let PRP rev up your journey on and off the track!
I love the PRP harnesses and how well they work. They keep you tight in your place but easily release and adjust to get in and out. Plus the Shreddy series just looks so rad! Love them in my Jeep rock crawler. They definitely keep us big guys in place upside down.
Installation varies by vehicle and model. Refer to the installation guide included with your harness or visit our website for instructions and video tutorials.
Adjust the harness so it fits snugly but comfortably. The lap belt should sit low on your hips, and shoulder straps should be tight enough to prevent excessive movement.
PRP harnesses work best with aftermarket seats but may be compatible with factory seats or UTVs. Installation may require a harness bar or additional hardware.
If you’re building your ride for performance whether it’s for drifting, desert runs, rock crawling, or high-speed track days, there’s one upgrade you can’t afford to overlook: your harnesses.
Stock seat belts weren’t designed for hard launches, sharp corners, or sketchy landings. PRP harnesses are. From daily-driven drift builds to full-blown off-road rigs, here are three reasons why it’s time to leave stock behind and strap into a set of PRP harnesses:
1. Stock Belts Can’t Hang
PRP Harnesses Keep You Locked In
OEM belts are made for comfort and convenience, not control. PRP harnesses are purpose-built to keep you locked in tight, so you can focus on your line—not your safety.
Drifting? Stay planted through high-angle transitions.
Off-roading? Stay secure through whoops, jumps, and rocky climbs.
Road racing? Keep your body controlled under heavy Gs.
2. Race-Level Comfort Built for Real Drivers
We get it, comfort matters. That’s why every PRP harness is designed with long sessions and gnarly conditions in mind.
Sewn-in or removable shoulder pads to reduce neck and collarbone pressure
Adjustable sternum straps keep everything in place
Soft, flexible webbing conforms to your body for all-day comfort
Whether you’re ripping trails or ripping tires, PRP makes sure your gear isn’t what’s holding you back.
3. Quick Adjustments = More Time Driving, Less Time Fiddling
No one wants to wrestle with tangled straps before a race or a ride. PRP’s harnesses are engineered with real-world usability in mind.

Full Customization to Match Your Build
Your harnesses should look as good as they perform. PRP offers a huge range of colors and styles, so your safety setup matches your car’s vibe whether you’re repping a show build or a race rig.
How to Choose the Right Harness
Every driving application requires different features. Here are a few general guidelines to help you select the harness that best fits your needs:
4-Point Harnesses – Ideal for general driving, trail use, and recreational applications. Offers comfort and secure restraint without the added complexity of a 5th point.
5-Point Harnesses – Provides additional safety and containment, particularly in high-speed or off-road environments. Required for many racing applications.
2-Inch vs. 3-Inch Belts – 3-inch belts offer broader surface area and increased upper body support. 2-inch belts are lighter and more flexible, often preferred for comfort and ease of adjustment.
SureLatch vs. Camlock Buckles – SureLatch buckles offer a strong, reliable locking mechanism with a secure feel, commonly used in general-purpose and off-road applications. Camlock buckles provide a faster, more ergonomic release and are ideal for high-performance or competition-focused vehicles.
EZ Adjusters – Designed for quick and effortless tightening or loosening of belts, especially convenient when making adjustments on the go or while wearing gloves.

Here at PRP Seats we understand that comfort and functionality are a necessity when selecting the perfect seat for your off-road vehicle of choice. We offer an industry leading fifteen suspension seat options to choose from. We’ve assembled this guide to help you narrow those selections down.
We will address the frequent questions we get about our seats:
What are the most comfortable options?
If I’m looking for containment, what seat should I get?
What seats should I be looking at if I am racing?
Should I go extra-wide or extra-tall?
Best seat for my little riders?
LOOKING FOR COMFORT?
For maximum comfort in your off-road vehicle, two things come into play when selecting your perfect PRP Seat.
Lower Side Bolsters
There are three seats that fit this requirement for a seat being comfortable. PRP Seats already come paired with dual density foam. You can read how our seats are made HERE. If you’re shopping for a UTV, the RST, XCR, and XC are the three best choices to go with that offer lower side bolsters.
Why does that matter?
The seat has open bolsters at the hips and sides that allow for an easier experience getting in and out of your UTV. These seats still have some containment that is perfect for recreational spirited driving that will prevent you from sliding around when the ride gets rough.
If you’re navigating a Jeep or other off-road vehicle and want those same two requirements for a comfortable suspension seat you can go with the Daily Driver, or the most popular Enduro Elite Series.
Worth noting – the Enduro High-Back and Enduro Elite are reclining seats! These two seats raise the bar in comfort with that added feature.
If you’re looking for containment in your off-road vehicle when shopping for that perfect seat, one thing comes into play. Just because you ask for containment, you will not be sacrificing any comfort due to the dual density foam we use and cushions.
High Side Bolsters
If you’re looking for a UTV, you can roll with the GT3, GT/S.E, or High Back suspension seat. These three seats offer the highest bolsters with a snug fit at the hips and sides. These seats are great for those that want to feel secure while riding around and/or those that do some aggressive driving while out on the trails.
Are you an aggressive crawler or pre-runner owner! We’ve got options that offer the needed high containment. The Podium, and Comp Elite are the industry leading options to select that will handle any terrain you throw at it.
Looking into the idea of making any of your suspension seats extra wide? When you own a SXS you have one choice: an added one inch extra wide. An extra inch doesn’t sound like much when you say it aloud, but you will notice the difference when it comes to seats! XW option is available only on certain UTV models based on their interiors.
If you’re looking into an off-road suspension seat, most seats have capabilities to be stretched to two inches extra wide. It is worth noting however that in doing so, the seat may not fit in your vehicle. We always recommend double checking measurements in your interior to ensure proper fitment before ordering.
NEED SEATS TALLER?
We can make our off-road seats 2” taller or 4” taller per request on our website. The best way to measure this is to take the measurement of your back to your shoulders. Take this measurement and compare it to the seat measurements on the seat product page you’re referencing. If you realize your torso is taller than the measurements of the seat, we recommend going taller!
SMALLER RIDERS
You love taking the family out on your off-road experiences too? Is is worth considering getting them their own seat that allows them to be safe alongside you. Before we get too ahead here, we no longer manufacture the “toddler jump seats” for our seats.
If you’re looking to get your little one a seat in your off-road build, check out the Premier Lite. The Premier Lite is scaled down 2” in all directions in comparison to the standard Premier. This is ideal for those tight back seats where only a little one could get into!
Another excellent choice is the recently launched GT3 Mini. The GT3 Mini is intended for the new RZR 200, however it does come tabbed, and you can mount it in any off-road vehicle if you’ve got the space for your little one. Mounts for the RZR 200 are sold separately.
Due to the personalized nature of custom orders, returns for custom seats are limited. Please review our Return Policy for more information.

The term suspension seat comes from the inner liner suspended between the sides of the steel frame. As the occupant moves up and down, the liner gives, preventing the body from constantly hitting against a solid surface such as those found in stock UTV seats. This provides unparalleled comfort when riding, allowing for longer adventures and less soreness in the muscles and back.
IT ALL STARTS WITH YOU...
At PRP Seats, you can choose from over 30 different models and MAKE IT YOURS with over 60+ fabric options to select from. Not to mention all of the upgrades available. No other manufacturer one offers more color or upgrade options than PRP.
The toughest part for most is the choice of materials. Traditionally used in boats, Marine-grade vinyl is developed to stand up to the elements. The fabric resists UV fading as well as mildew. Not a fan of vinyl? Afraid it will get hot? You can select from suede, cloth, Cordura®, or tweed options for no extra charge. This is just another way we’re revolutionizing the way suspension seats are made. We want you to truly be able to MAKE IT YOURS. You can view our fabric selection guide here.
Once the Seat is Ordered, We Build it From the Frame Up
Frames are hand-assembled in Southern California where we bend, notch, and weld the steel together to build your chosen suspension seats. Once the seat is assembled by our welding team, we then have the frame powder-coated black. The powder coating process will prevent any rust from breaking the seat down over time. We’ve had seats come back over twenty years later perfectly intact. Being an American-made company is something we take a lot of pride in by manufacturing a high-quality product.

Your Material Choices Get Cut!
This is the fun part when the design starts to come to life. While your frame is busy being welded, our cutting team is hard at work organizing your color choices into bulk cutting files which will be cut on one of our 3 automated machines. During the cutting process we begin the work on adding your custom embroidery choices to the seat. This can be the PRP branding and model logo or you can also submit your own personally owned logo which we will digitize and add to your seat for a fee. This is just another way you can truly MAKE IT YOURS with PRP.

Lacing the Suspension Liner
The core of your seat is the suspension liner. Think of it as a padded trampoline to support you on the rough rides. Liners are attached to the steel frame and secured with a 700lb parachute cord. Constructed of a durable and tear-resistant vinyl-coated nylon mesh, most dirt and debris will pass right through. Each liner is hand-sewn and custom-fitted to each seat frame.

Multi Density Foam
We pre-cut our foam specific for each seat to add just the right amount of padding to support you in the right places. Each seat has a built-in foam lumbar support to give you a comfortable driving position. All seats are extensively tested by various individuals with different body types to ensure the seat is comfortable for those long rides.
Hand-Sewn Cover
This stage is the most exciting as the seat begins to come to life! Each custom seat ordered from PRP is hand-sewn with options selected by YOU. With so many options available, special attention to detail is required so just one of our experienced sewing staff employees will build your entire order. This ensures each seat is made the same way and all the options are reviewed carefully.

The Finishing Touch
After mounting we place each seat into an intense quality test by ensuring every seat is properly cleaned, matches what was ordered, and is in perfect condition. Any large wrinkles or errors during production are sent to be immediately fixed. Most seats fly right through and are ready to be shipped, delivered, and installed in your off-road vehicle.
